Start with a conversation.
After your inquiry, an initial phone conversation considers the house, the changes you have in mind, and your timing and investment expectations. If the project appears suited to Lovett Homes, a complimentary 40–60 minute home visit follows.
The practice is best suited to substantial renovations and additions where the design is still open to development and the owners value direction.
During the visit.
The conversation begins with what has brought you to consider a change. A walk through the house considers how rooms connect, where routines become difficult, and the architectural qualities worth preserving.
A kitchen project may involve the entry or gathering spaces around it. A request for a larger bedroom may raise a question about privacy. The visit helps identify what needs to be studied and whether Lovett Homes is suited to the work.
After the visit.
A question worth studying.
A brief written follow-up records the main question and a recommended next step. If a Spatial Study would be useful, its proposal sets out the study area, deliverables, schedule and fixed fee.
Sometimes a property condition, structural question or budget needs attention first. There is no obligation to continue.
Before booking.
What should be prepared?
A few sentences about the house and what you hope to change are enough to begin. Existing plans, photographs and records of earlier work can help the conversation if they are available. It is useful to consider which rooms already work well, where daily routines become difficult, and what should feel different after the work.
Does the visit include drawings or an estimate?
The visit helps identify the question and a useful next step. Measured plans and layout options begin with the paid Spatial Study. A construction estimate requires a developed scope and trade input.
When does paid work begin?
The consultation is complimentary. The Spatial Study is the first paid service, with a fixed fee of $2,500. It begins after the scope and delivery date are agreed.
